Monday and Wednesday Morning Volunteering

Join us on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. to help out at the farm. Projects may include gardening, cleaning the barn, carpentry, animal grooming, handyperson jobs, window washing, cleaning rabbit yard, trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, fence installation/repair, and more. Your help will make a meaningful difference to Leilani Farm Sanctuary. To participate, please email your RSVP to info@leilanifarmsanctuary.org

Morning Rounds

If you can commit to one day a week for three hours, we will teach you the procedure for feeding the animals, watering and cleanup. Please email info@leilanifarmsanctuary.org

The East Maui Animal Refuge (aka the Boo Boo Zoo)

The Boo Boo Boo Zoo is another animal sanctuary located in Haiku that is home to hundreds of abandoned and injured animals. Volunteers are needed to support the goats, cats, deer, sheep, birds, pigs, and more. For more information, visit the website or call 808-572-8308 or email teambooboozoo@gmail.com.

More Vegan-Friendly Volunteer Opportunities

Maui Food Not Bombs offers free monthly vegan meals at Paia Bay.

These groups are vegan-friendly, although not necessarily 100% vegan:

Grow Some Good is dedicated to creating hands-on, outdoor learning experiences that cultivate curiosity about natural life cycles, connect students to their food sources, and inspire better nutrition choices.

Common Ground Collective teaches community members, volunteers, and students how to grow food and provides essential knowledge and hands-on training for the efficient management of properties. It also develops connections within the community to successfully get products to markets for purchase.

Blue Zones Project is a collaboration between Hawaii Medical Service Association and Healthways to help improve the well-being of all people in Hawaii.
